EMDR Therapy Intensives in Seattle and WA State

Accelerate your healing and get relief now with a Therapy Intensive.

You feel stuck. You’ve carried this self-doubt and “not good enough” feeling for too long—and you’re sick of it. Maybe painful experiences from the past keep showing up in the present, making you feel overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed. You’re ready for something to shift.

Perhaps you’ve tried weekly therapy, but you find yourself repeating the same patterns, and some of the core issues still feel unresolved. Or maybe you’ve wanted to start therapy, but a weekly commitment just doesn’t fit your life right now. If you're ready to feel better and want meaningful, lasting change, an EMDR therapy intensive might be the right fit.

EMDR intensives offer extended, focused time to go deeper—helping your brain process and release the stuck memories, beliefs, and emotions that are holding you back. This approach accelerates healing, so you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and peace.

Therapy Intensives can help you:

  • Heal from painful experiences and unresolved trauma

  • Quiet your inner critic and increase self compassion

  • Address the underlying causes of anxiety, self-doubt, and overwhelm

  • Feel more grounded and confident in making decisions aligned with your values

  • Strengthen your connection to yourself, your life, and your relationships

Break through stuck patterns and step into lasting change with an EMDR therapy intensive.

How therapy Intensives Work

Go deeper. Heal faster. Live more fully.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel activating or overwhelming. It's especially effective for healing trauma, reducing anxiety, and shifting deeply held negative beliefs about yourself.

An EMDR therapy intensive is an accelerated, focused approach designed to support deeper healing in a shorter amount of time. Rather than weekly sessions, intensives are offered over a shorter window—typically 3 hours per day for 1-3 consecutive days—allowing for deep, uninterrupted processing and meaningful progress.

In a standard 50 minute session, time is often spent checking in and wrapping up, which can limit the space available for deeper processing. Our nervous systems need time to settle before we can fully engage in deep therapeutic work and to regulate before we end. EMDR therapy intensives provide the dedicated time to do just that. With extended sessions, you have the time to get fully present, reprocess stuck/painful memories and core beliefs, and leave each session feeling grounded and more connected to yourself.

Intensives are a great fit if you have a busy schedule that makes weekly therapy difficult to maintain, or if you’re feeling stuck in patterns related to trauma or anxiety, and want to shift them now so that you can get on with life.

Frequently asked questions about EMDR Therapy Intensives

FAQs

  • Your EMDR intensive is personalized and structured to help you feel safe, supported, and ready to do deep, focused work. Here's what the process typically looks like:

    1. Initial Consultation
We’ll start with a free 20 minute consultation to explore your goals, answer any questions, and determine if an intensive is a good fit for you.

    2. Pre-Intensive Session
Before your intensive begins, you’ll complete intake forms and participate in a 90-minute intake session. During this time, we’ll clarify your goals for the intensive and begin identifying patterns that feel stuck, internalized negative messages, and memories that need to be reprocessed. This session also helps ensure you feel prepared and supported going into the intensive work.

    3. Intensive Sessions
The EMDR intensive sessions are done virtually for 1-3 days, typically for 3 hour sessions. Each intensive is fully personalized, with a treatment plan and resourcing to help you regulate your unique nervous system. These extended sessions allow for focused, uninterrupted work that supports deep reprocessing and healing.

    4. Post-Intensive Session
This is a 90-minute integration session to debrief, reflect, and process the experience. We’ll review the shifts you’ve noticed, and identify ways to carry your insights and healing into daily life. Ongoing support options will also be discussed, if needed.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy used to help people process and heal from traumatic memories and distressing experiences.

It follows a structured approach where you briefly focus on a specific traumatic memory while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation—typically through guided eye movements, tapping, or sounds. This process helps the brain reprocess the memory, reducing its emotional intensity and vividness over time.

Many people find EMDR helpful for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and other challenges rooted in past experiences. It can support deep healing by allowing the brain and body to integrate what happened in a more adaptive and less distressing way.
