Finding calm when anxiety feels overwhelming.
Therapy for anxiety in Seattle and WA State
Are you ready to quiet your self judgment and perfectionism?
You have high expectations for yourself, maybe others too, but definitely for yourself. And when you don’t meet your high standards, the inner critic is unleashed.
Then you’re caught in a loop of overthinking, sleepless nights, comparing yourself to others, and replaying social interactions in your head. Sometimes your mind won’t slow down, your heart races, and your body feels stressed out. Other times you’re paralyzed by indecision and self-doubt— you feel frozen and shut down.
You feel stuck, out of control, exhausted.
You want to feel better but you’ve spent a lifetime absorbing messages about how you should be, how you should feel, and what it takes to be happy and successful. You’ve been told to “be authentic” and “find your passion” but how do you figure that out when you have all the “should” messages in your head?
Together, we’ll work to address your anxiety so that you can feel more in control, express your authentic self, sleep more peacefully, and move through life with greater ease and confidence.
Transform your anxiety- get relief and heal the root cause.
How therapy works
You can learn to manage your stress and overwhelm.
We’ll begin by exploring the current stressors and challenges you're facing, along with clarifying your goals for therapy. Together, we'll identify patterns of thoughts, emotions, and reactions that may be affecting your day-to-day functioning. We’ll look at your current coping strategies and work on new regulating strategies using Polyvagal therapy, CBT, and mindfulness techniques. I recognize that your story and nervous system are unique, so therapy will be tailored to your specific needs, with the goal of creating meaningful, long-lasting change
We’ll also explore your childhood and early life experiences to better understand how they’ve shaped your sense of self and your view of the world. These past experiences often continue to influence how you respond in the present. By identifying, understanding and working with these experiences, you can begin to shift patterns so that you can stay grounded and move beyond the noise of self-judgment. Depending on your needs, we may incorporate approaches like EMDR or IFS/parts work to support this process.

We’ll begin with an initial assessment and take time to get to know each other. I want to understand your symptoms and challenges, and also your strengths, values, and what has helped you cope so far.
From there, we’ll work together to set therapy goals that feel meaningful and achievable for you.
Throughout therapy, we’ll build tools to help you manage anxiety in everyday life. This might include learning coping strategies to help you stay grounded during difficult moments, and exploring the internalized beliefs or messages that fuel anxious thoughts — so you can begin to respond with more clarity, confidence, and choice.
Depending on your needs, our work may include:
EMDR to help process and reduce the impact of negative beliefs, emotions, and body sensations.
Polyvagal-informed tools to support nervous system regulation and a felt sense of safety.
IFS/Parts Work to gently connect with the different parts of you — especially those that carry pain, try to protect you, or hold deep wisdom

Anxiety shows up in many forms. For some, it comes as sudden, intense panic; for others, it’s a persistent undercurrent of worry. You might find yourself replaying moments over and over in your mind, struggling with self-doubt, or lying awake at night caught in a loop of ruminating thoughts.
Anxiety isn’t just in your mind — it often shows up in your body, too. You might notice muscle tension, shallow breathing, digestive issues, or a feeling like your whole body is buzzing. Learn more.
